FAQ

1.  Where can I park my car?

• St. Croix Falls Middle school has ample space for parking in the lot adjacent the school.
• Parking at the Overlook Deck is available anywhere along downtown streets or in Thompson Parkway just east of the Overlook Deck.

2.  Is there transportation from the end of the race back to the school?

• A shuttle to transport registered race participants back to St. Croix Falls Middle school will be available from 10:00-11:00 after the race.

3.  When will race packets be available?

• Race bibs are available at the registration table prior to the start of the race. Race packets, including shirt and other goodies will be at the end of the race.

4.  What is a moisture management fabric”?

• T-shirts made of moisture management fabric are designed to wick away perspiration from your skin.  They are more comfortable to wear than cotton during sweaty situations.

5.  How do I get to St. Croix Falls Middle School?

• From St. Paul/Minneapolis:

  Follow I-35 north to U.S. Highway 8 (Forest Lake exit). Turn right (east) on U.S. Hwy 8 and proceed to Taylors Falls. Cross the St. Croix River into Wisconsin. Turn left turn onto Industrial Boulevard (across Kentucky Fried Chicken). Continue two blocks north and turn left onto Maple. Cross Blanding Woods road and turn right at the next road into the schools.  Turn right at the stop sign and continue into the middle school lot, just south of the high school campus.

• From the northwest:

  From the Cambridge & North Branch area, follow State Hwy 95 south to Taylors Falls and turn left onto Highway 8, crossing the bridge to Wisconsin.  Turn left turn onto Industrial Boulevard (across Kentucky Fried Chicken). Continue two blocks north and turn left onto Maple. Cross Blanding Woods road and turn right at the next road into the schools.  Turn right at the stop sign and continue into the middle school lot, just south of the high school campus.

• From the east:

  (Hwy 8): U.S. Hwy 8 to St. Croix Falls. Turn right onto Industrial Blvd and follow 3 blocks to Maple.  Continue on Maple to school campus, turn right into parking lot. Middle school lot is just south of the high school campus.

• From the north:

  From the Grantsburg area, follow State Hwy. 87 south to St. Croix Falls. Follow Washington Street into downtown and turn left on State Street.  Follow State (becomes Vincent Street), turning left on Maple. Follow hill to school campus, turn left into parking lot. Middle school lot is just south of the high school campus.

• From the south:

  From the Hudson, Somerset and Osceola area, follow State Highway 35 to St Croix Falls. Hwy 35 becomes Vincent Street as it goes under the Hwy 8 overpass. Turn right onto Maple.  Follow hill to school campus, turn left into parking lot. Middle school lot is just south of the high school campus.

6.  Do proceeds from the City of Trails Running Events support a cause?

• A portion of our yearly race proceeds is donated to the Indianhead Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance to support the work of this organization.
